Designed and led UEP's Digital Transformation roadmap — redefining the application and ERP landscape, alongside Master Data Governance and Ariba Sourcing & Supplier Lifecycle, for improved operational efficiency, stronger governance & control and real-time reporting.
The program replaced a fragmented legacy landscape with SAP S/4HANA across 12 legal entities, alongside SuccessFactors Employee Central & Time Tracking, group-wide Master Data Governance spanning Pakistan, Iraq and Beijing, and end-to-end Ariba Sourcing & Supplier Lifecycle integration. A later phase merged UEP onto the group-wide SuccessFactors platform — Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance, Learning and Workforce Analytics — unifying HR across all group entities.
Led Pakistan's first successful SAP Robotic Process Automation implementation, using SAP Build Process Automation and Document Information Extraction to automate vendor invoice processing with minimal human interaction.
The solution reads, validates and posts supplier invoices with minimal human touch — Document Information Extraction interprets incoming invoices, and automated workflows handle matching and posting in S/4HANA. Finance gained accurate, real-time vendor aging visibility across roughly 350 vendors, and the manual effort previously absorbed by 3,500+ monthly invoices was redeployed to higher-value work.
Architected a semantic layer connecting SAP S/4HANA with Power BI via OData/CDS views, enabling real-time KPI monitoring and self-service analytics across Finance, Procurement, Inventory and Operations.
The semantic layer feeds existing Power BI dashboards through OData services and CDS views, while 40+ Fiori embedded analytical applications put operational reporting directly inside the ERP. Business users now self-serve interactive dashboards instead of requesting reports — significantly reducing manual data handling, improving accuracy, and giving stakeholders instant access to critical insights for faster decisions.
IT Program Manager for Wave 1 of Engro's S/4HANA transformation — recognized by SAP as Pakistan's largest private-sector digital transformation.
OneSAP set out to standardize core business processes across 20 legal entities on a single S/4HANA platform. I led development of the roadmap and business case, worked with SAP and EY to shape a fit-for-purpose architecture and implementation methodology, and served as Secretary of the Business Process Re-engineering Committee. Wave 1 — Engro Corporation, Engro Fertilizers, Engro Vopak and Engro Elengy — went live in October 2019 and won Bronze in Business Transformation (MENA) at the SAP Quality Awards 2020.
Delivered IFRS-based group financial consolidation via SAP BPC — recognized as Pakistan's largest consolidation project, connecting 9 SAP systems through a centralized BW data layer.
Delivered in six months, the system consolidates 30 legal entities reporting in 4 currencies across 130+ financial notes, with more than 10,000 GL accounts mapped to a new centralized IFRS-based chart of accounts. Automated workflows and standardized reporting structures cut the consolidation cycle time and improved accuracy — earning Gold in Fast Delivery (MENA) at the SAP Quality Awards 2019.
Spearheaded the group-wide rollout of BoardPad, a secure digital board-pack and meeting collaboration solution — giving every board member online or offline access to meeting materials from any device.
Implemented across all Engro entities and used in every board meeting, including BACs, BCCs and BIC, the solution replaced paper board packs with secure, device-agnostic access to meeting materials — improving governance efficiency and information security at the board level.
Leading development of a custom-built EHS platform tailored to UEP's 24/7 operations — with real-time SAP integration and mobile field reporting, and potential for group-wide rollout across other assets.
Replacing the legacy EHS application, the platform is built as an integrated solution encompassing incident management, safety observations, audits, inspections, permits to work, Risk Assurance and ESG. It features seamless SAP integration for real-time data synchronization and a mobile application for field reporting — with the potential for group-wide rollout across other UEP Group assets.
Leading a phased program integrating real-time field data via IoT to build a foundation for predictive maintenance and production optimization across well sites.
Phase 1 upgraded field infrastructure for digital connectivity and established a centralized platform with appropriate cybersecurity controls. Phase 2 bridges the OT and IT networks — integrating wellhead, compressor and metering data with business applications and analytics dashboards for comprehensive, real-time operations visibility, and laying the groundwork for predictive maintenance across multiple well sites.
